Security and User Rights
These Terms and Conditions (“T&Cs”) govern how Safe AI Germany (“we,” “us,” “our”) delivers free educational activities, community programming, and career advice services to individuals (“you,” “participants”) who engage with our work. These T&Cs must be read alongside our Privacy Notice and accepted before participating in our services.
We are a non-profit organisation based in Germany working to reduce the risks posed by advanced AI systems by supporting individuals who want to upskill, collaborate, and work in AI alignment, governance, technical safety, or adjacent areas.
All services are offered free of charge. Participation is voluntary. We do not provide services to individuals under 18.
1. Scope of Services
Depending on your engagement, we may provide access to:
Educational courses, fellowships and group discussions;
In-person or virtual events, meet-ups, hackathons, or retreats;
Online community platforms (e.g., Slack, Airtable);
Career advice or referrals to opportunities in AI Safety fields.
Participation may require submitting a form, attending interviews, or scheduling availability. Acceptance into structured programs is selective and based on alignment with program goals and available capacity.
2. Community & Local Group Structure
Some of our programming is delivered in collaboration with local AI Safety groups. In such cases:
Your local group may have its own Terms and Conditions, code of conduct, or privacy policies;
These terms complement local policies and do not replace or override them;
Safe AI Germany retains control over core infrastructure, program content, and participant coordination;
Your local organiser may assist with outreach, facilitation, and community follow-up.
We aim to be transparent about who is responsible for what in any collaborative context. Check any local organiser communications for additional terms where applicable.
3. What We Expect From Participants
